Art Stroll, River Arts District in Asheville

In November and June of every year Asheville has an Art Stroll at the River Arts District in Asheville.  The studios are open, and you were welcome to go in and see artists create their masterpieces.  This one was in November, 2011; it was a beautiful day and was wonderful.

Everybody is welcome - humans and dogs!

Nice music on this beautiful day.

I love seeing the artists' studios.

And, if you didn't feel like walking, you could
get the trolley to haul you around!

Some of the great art.

I liked this Praying Mantis and Dragonfly.

It was interesting to see this artist's pieces, then to see
him in the process of creating them.

Here he is working with the clay.

I really liked her work.

I love that she incorporates maps into her artwork.

Demonstration on glass blowing!

Such beautiful creations!

After looking at all my photos, I realized that I might like the buildings more than the artwork!  I only had a few pictures of artwork, and a million pictures of the great old historic buildings.  They were all so cool!

This was an amazing staircase in one of the studios.
I loooove the brick wall!

FANTASTIC WINDOWS!
This one is my favorite!

It was nice to see so many people come out on this beautiful Asheville day and enjoy the artwork - or just being outside walking around.  It was really a nice art stroll -- plenty of free parking and something for everyone.  I enjoyed it.
